A new song has won a Grammy nomination for the best new rock song.
The award, handed out this week by the Recording Academy, is for the song “We Are Kings,” by Billy and The Mowgli Band.
The song is part of the band’s album “I Got You,” which was released on Feb. 13 and is available on Spotify.
It’s not clear if the Grammy award winner is the same Billy and the MowGli Band, which toured with The Who in the late 1970s.
The song was written by Billy Butler and Phil Spector, both of whom are from Lexington.
The new song is “Tiger, Tiger, Tiger,” a parody of a line from the film “The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring,” according to the Recording Industry Association of America.
The MowGs song has been nominated for four Grammy awards.
It won in 2018 for best rock song, in 2018 and again in 2017 for best country song and best pop song.
